And today will be the second time in my life washing my car. IT’S NOT EVEN THE SAME CAR ANYMORE. Send help. Any advice?

Also I’m like 5' 6 and I’m washing a huge SUV and I can’t find a step ladder in my house right now.

UPDATE (After I washed it.):

Kinja'd!!!

It honestly looks exactly the same except the wheels don’t have any brake dust on it anymore. I couldn’t even reach the center of the windshield to wipe it dry while on the running boards.

Washing tall SUVs sucks. I can’t stand it. So I run it through a tunnel wash and touch up by hand.

Consider this, concerning the step ladder: is it really dirty if you can’t see it?

-googles height of car-

I’m gonna be so embarrassed if someone about 6 and a half feet tall to 7 feet walk by and notice I didn’t wash the top of my car.

I wanted to but my dad has everything (a general everything, he doesn’t really care THAT much about washing his cars.) So I felt bad spending more money going to a car wash :(

My first vehicle wasn’t clean when I got it, and it was about three years of my ownership before it got washed. I never figured it was worth the effort cause it saw so much gravel it might have been good for a day and then it would look like I’d never touched it. I usually end up hitting them with a pressure wand every couple weeks in the winter to get rid of any salt, but in the summer? They get so covered in mud and gravel dust that it’s just not worth it. The Lada was parked for a good chunk of the winter so I honestly think it was August the last time it was washed. I think I last did the MJ in October. The XJ isn’t registered so why bother I suppose...

I know a postman who is 5'4" and drove a BMW X6 he wasn’t bothered about properly cleaning the thing just pressure washing it each day and that’s it. I asked him how he got the roof done and his reply was along the lines of ‘well I can’t see so never cleaned it’.

I like the color. I have a 2004 GX in black. Probably hides dirt a little better than the blue.
